I thought the expansion of the mythology behind the characters of Extraction would also be pretty interesting. Knowing that there was going to be a single-player campaign expansion to DS2 excited me because of the fact that single-player expansions are not as common as multiplayer ones, and I was also in dire need of more of that slick, polished DS2 gameplay.
Second, I’m still not done with DS2, having recently gotten into the multiplayer (more maps please!) and will soon start my 3rd game + walkthrough. Obviously, by the content on this site, I’m completely obsessed with Dead Space and have seen, done, read, and played everything Dead Space related, aside from the DS Martyr book. Review: There are a couple of things you should know about me before we get to the meat of this review. Synopsis: Severed is a short, 2-chapter expansion to DS2 in which you play Gabe Weller (from DS Extraction) as he fights through the Sprawl to save his wife Lexine Murdoch (also from DS Extraction) in a fast-paced story that parallels Issac’s ordeal. Genre: Horror, Action, Third-Person Shooter
